Oh good morning, this is Whatever Wednesday, and this is my this is probably my most favorite mug. I got that mug at Target years ago. I loved it because it was my favorite colour blue, ocean soft, pretty blue, but it waves in it and I love how it feels. It’s big enough but it’s smooth. It’s funny, it’s $4.
Some of the most simple things in life can be the most amazing treasures when you can allow it to get to that place. And when we kind of take away the layers of the materialism and inner exteriors and today being Whatever Wednesday, I feel like I should turn it into “Walking Wednesday” because it’s a little chillier today, there’s snow on the ground. Besides that, the sun is out and I want to just simply encourage you.
So much has happened and there’s just this wobbliness going on in our world, and you sit there and you go, “what can I do?” “what can I do?” And I read you a poem (Build A Better You) last week, and it’s about becoming a better me, and a better you, and why does that look like. You’re the only deciding factor there.
I’m taking a course right now a lot of it goes on, it is about sister hood, and it’s so fantastic, but just today, she was discussing or encouraging us to think about who are grandmothers are, and where mothers are. Regardless of your relationship, there are all these women that have come before us, have set a pace, have broken through barriers, who have passed on beliefs, to us, maybe some of them will leave, but they’re us. That’s part of us. And we get to move forward and create space for those who get to come and sit in front of us. They may be our children, they may not be.
With a huge gorgeous world, and we get to add to it, we get to bring what we want to bring, and we bring that being as whole as possible. So on this wonderful Wednesday, I encourage you to go outside by yourself, maybe in silence maybe throw some earphones in and put on some music that inspires you. What do you need to do today to be a better you?
And when I say better, I’m not saying stronger, and I’m not saying more empowered, and I’m not saying to be anything on the exterior – just who do you want to be? Who are you longing to step into? Your best self? What does that look like? Who are you? Bring it. We wanna see it shine. Shine, this is what sister hood is about. This is about…this is about being a woman. This is about being in relationships. This is about allowing other humans to shine and see themselves through you. Have a wonderful day, see you tomorrow.
